Visit HTOS and relive the excitement and wonder of model railroading

The Houston Tinplate Operators Society (HTOS), is an organization of O-gauge train modelers whose principal interests range from true tinplate (pre & postwar) to near-scale 3-rail operation. Our organization was founded in 1988 by a group of people who wanted to have fun running Lionel and compatible trains. HTOS is dedicated to promoting research of 3-rail O-gauge trains and fostering the education of people in the field of model railroading.

Above is a view of the club store front in the mall. HTOS is one of the few O-Guage train clubs in the Houston area, and also a club with a year-round permanent location.

We are currently located in Memorial City Mall, located on the west side of Houston, Texas. See our directions link for more detailed driving directions and a mall map. Click this link for our operating hours. The club operates four layouts in our space. The large portable layout, a 'seasonal' window layout, a bigger curve window layout and a kids wooden train layout.
